I was honored to create and design all of the decor for Lydia and Ben's wedding a few weeks ago. This was not my first wedding to design, but it was the first one I was solely responsible for making happen. After a few shopping trips with Lydia and craft nights of bridesmaids and friends helping make the flowers, I spent some late nights working on the decor and it turned out amazing! A big thanks to all the friends that helped with set up and coordinating the day of the wedding! With Peacock feathers as our color scheme, we went crazy with jewel tones and grounded everything in neutrals. The tables were covered with Butcher Paper, spaced out along the tables were clusters of doilies overlapping one another, then to top it off a grouping of vases filled with flowers and feathers. There were three panels at the alter covered in paper, felt and fabric flowers. Along the sides of the space were garland made from the same flowers. Above each station were signs that I put together from painted ikea frames, lace, feathers, navy colored paper and handwritten in copper. At the last minute I also made a piece to go above the cake table. Ceremony turned reception and the party started! The DJ in his mullet wig and wolverine costume, this wedding had the best dance party I have ever seen! Here are some of the moments and details I captured through the day, check out more of the wedding from Cheryl Dawn Photography. If you have a wedding coming up and you need help with the concept, execution, and set up please contact me for pricing. Enjoy!
